Mark Thompson was trained at the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a student and later colleague of Louis Kahn, and at Cambridge University, where he was a student of Sir Leslie Martin. He taught at the University of Pennsylvania for more than twenty years, where his courses focused on the design and development of institutions and their communities. Mark Thompson’s activity as an architect, planner and educator involves many roles in the development process.
