Mussel Hatchery Lab & Classroom
As part of a campaign to upgrade and refresh existing exhibit facilities, and in collaboration with Project Lead Designer Habithèque Inc., this 530 square foot space at the southern end of the facility was reimagined as a working demonstration laboratory. The lab showcase s efforts of the Philadelphia Water Department and the Partnership for the Delaware Estuary to restore freshwater mussels within the Delaware River watershed, which reduses water pollutants naturally.
