Mound Dam Rehabilitation
Located between the New Mill House and the Gazebo Pier, the Mound Dam is an open-air portion of the Fairmount Water Works that is part of the Fairmount Dam structure. The envisioned landscape proposes to reintroduce shade and vegetation to evoke the Mound Dam’s tree-lined origins, and to provide a variety of spaces and seating to support fishing, outdoor programming, and lounging to enjoy outstanding downstream views of the Schuylkill River.
